15-25 cm
A 1 litre oleander is a young rooted cutting or starter plant. In Spain it suits a sheltered pot, cold frame or nursery bed until roots fill the container; protect it from frost, water regularly through the first summer, then plant out in full sun and well-drained soil.
30-45 cm
At 30-45 cm in a 3 litre pot, this Nerium oleander is a bushy young shrub for low hedges, balcony planters and mass planting. It thrives in Mediterranean Spain with full sun, coastal wind and salt tolerance, and little extra water once established.
50-70 cm
A 50-70 cm oleander in a 7.5 litre pot is ready for a quick low screen, patio feature or mixed border. Across warm Spanish gardens it prefers full sun and poor, well-drained soil; irrigate young plants for the first two summers and prune lightly after flowering.
80-100 cm

In Spain it performs best in full sun and well-drained soil; water deeply for the first seasons, avoid waterlogged ground, and prune after flowering.
